One person was killed yesterday while trying to cross The Strip at Sahara.

Metro Police say the driver was heading westbound on Sahara and had the green when the pedestrian - who was running southbound across the intersection - was struck. Impairment isn’t suspected. The driver who hit the victim stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators.

The victim hasn’t been identified, but Metro says he was a man in his 30s

It’s the 14th traffic related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction so far in 2021.
