It all happened at the Dotty’s on Flamingo and Jones around 6pm on Wednesday.

Police say that a man entered the business and sat down at one of the video poker machines. They then say he grabbed the purse of a woman who was playing nearby and ran outside.

The manager of Dotty’s, identified Thursday by the Clark County coroner’s office identified as 60 year-old Alicia Gibellina, pursued the man outside and confronted him when he got into his car. Police then say she backed away from the car after the man showed a gun.

Police say Gibellina retreated to the rear of the vehicle and the suspect then put the car in reverse, running her over. Gibellina was taken to a local hospital but died from her injuries.

Police haven’t yet given a description of the robber other than to say it was a balck man in his 20s. The vehicle police are looking for is a black 2012 Mercedes GL5 with Nevada plate 565T77. Records indicate the vehicle was reported stolen on May 7th.
