With the passing of Betty White on New Years’ Eve, a viral challenge has gone out on social media: On what would have been her 100th birthday on January 17th, people are being asked to donate $5 to an animal rescue or shelter in her honor.

Sale Ranch in Temecula is a 100% off grid non-profit sanctuary offering rescue and refuge to animals discarded by our food industry, currently home to approximately 100 residents. Jen Sale, Founder and Executive Director of Sale Ranch, explains how this haven is creating a kinder and more compassionate world for all beings.
