Blake Snell may have locked up the NL Cy Young award on Monday night, as he struck out 7 over 6 scoreless innings, lowering his ERA to 2.25 in the process. This was a low scoring game, with Manny Machado's 1st inning RBI-single representing the game's lone run entering the bottom of the 8th inning. Michael Conforto was called upon to pinch hit with 2 outs and the bases loaded, and delivered a 2-run single to give the Giants the lead. Logan Webb was terrific as well, going the full 9 innings while striking out 7 and allowing just one run. Seth Lugo will start for the Padres on Tuesday.
