Padres defeat Braves 11-6

The Padres beat the Braves 11-6 on Friday in a game featuring plenty of offensive firepower. The two teams combined to score 17 runs on 28 hits. San Diego carried a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the 6th inning, when the Braves put 4 runs on the board, including a 3-run homer from Dansby Swanson to take a 6-4 lead. Ha-Seong Kim answered with a 3-run home run of his own in the top of the 7th to put the Padres back on top. San Diego went on to add 4 insurance runs in the top of the 9th, as the Padres took game 1 from the Braves. Game 2 will be Saturday at 1:05.
