The Padres won their 7th game in a row and secured their second straight series sweep with a 3-2 win over the Rockies on Wednesday. Seth Lugo pitched well, striking out 7 while allowing just 2 runs in 6 innings to earn his 16th quality start of the season. Xander Bogaerts' bat continued to sizzle, as he added 3 more hits, his 6th consecutive multi-hit game. Trailing 2-1 in the 7th, the Padres rallied for 2 runs on an RBI-single from Luis Campusano and a run-scoring sacrifice fly from Ji Man Choi. Josh Hader pitched for the third consecutive day and 4th time in 5 days, and earned his 31st save of the season. The Padres will enjoy a day off before the Cardinals arrive on Friday for the final home series of the 2023 season.
