Ramirez tells fans, "After almost two remarkable decades, I am announcing my departure from Sublime with Rome at the close of 2024. The upcoming performances over the next year will allow us to reflect on countless incredible memories together!" Rome continues, "Over the last 2 years I’ve been spending countless hours pouring my soul into my solo music, and the excitement to share these songs with you is building up! I’ve got some really big news that I can’t drop yet. Just wait!"
He adds, "Singing and playing guitar for this iconic band has been a lifetime opportunity and just flat out, absolutely epic. Carrying on the Sublime legacy has been a trust I'll forever cherish."
Finally, Ramirez ended his post saying, "This is only the beginning…"
Sublime With Rome was formed in 2010 by Rome Ramirez after the passing of singer Bradley Nowell in 1996, along with original Sublime members Eric Wilson, and Bud Gaugh. Luckily, there’s still plenty ahead for the revamped band before the end of 2024, with the recent addition of their new drummer, Joe Tomino of Dub Trio.
As noted above, his solo work will now take center stage, and likely a few cameos will surface as well. In Nashville, "music is everywhere," Ramirez recently told host Ashley O while on the beach with Audacy at this year's Riptide Music Festival, discussing his move to Music City from Los Angeles.

"I do a lot of songwriting and producing," he explained. "It's what I've done a lot of the time while I've been on the road with Sublime; it's just a love of mine producing for other artists." Listen to the full chat above.
