Janet Jackson and Bruno Mars will headline this year’s Essence Festival, organizers announced Tuesday.
The festival runs from July 1 through 5th and features several events aside from the concert series.
Also performing this year on the main stage, fresh off of a performance at the Oscar’s is Janelle Monae.
Rising stars Ari Lennox and Summer Walker are also in the lineup along with R&B legends Raphael Saadiq and Patti LaBelle.
