A breast cancer diagnosis and hearing others speak at a friend's funeral service lead Shari Leid to think about how she was, or wasn't, expressing gratitude and the lessons learned from the women in her life. So she embarked on a journey to speak with 50 women who had made a difference in her life and tell them about their impact.

Here's a recap of her 5-step 50/50 Friendship Flow Challenge: 

  1. Set a date.  One-on-One. (Via FaceTime or Zoom is fine)
  2. Take time to set your intention and think about what you want to share with your friend.   Let go of your own ego. 
  3. Sit with your friend and practice listening first.
  4. Share your admiration, observations, and ask questions.  Let your 50/50 Friendship Flow friend know that you see her (or him).  Create a dialogue around learning about what your friend brings to your life
  5. and finally, write it down, take a photo, keep a journal, capture that moment.
