Wet Nose Wednesday Pet: Kee Kee

🚨 MEET KEE KEE: BUILT LIKE A BUTTERBALL, MOVES LIKE A MISSILE. 🚨
Kee Kee is a 5-year-old purebred Boston Terrier who is currently 28 pounds of dog in a 20-pound trench coat. Girlfriend is approximately 30% Boston Terrier and 70% Thanksgiving side dish.
Her veterinarian would like her closer to 20 lbs. Kee Kee would like to know which veterinarian said that and where they live.
She came to us after her senior owner tripped over her one too many times. In Kee Kee’s defense, when you’re shaped like an ottoman and capable of achieving terrier speeds, you become less of a dog and more of a low-flying bowling ball.
Her résumé:
🎾 BALL: Life. Religion. Purpose. She will retrieve until either your arm falls off or she burns a calorie, whichever comes first.
🍔 FOOD: Also life. Also religion. Please do not tell her she’s on a diet. We’re calling it a portion-controlled wellness journey for morale purposes.
🛌 EXERCISE: Willing, provided there is a ball involved. Otherwise she has some exciting ideas about lying under a blanket.
🥔 BODY TYPE: Loaded baked potato with ears.
🐶 Dogs: Friendly!
🐱 Cats: Likely fine.
👶 Little kids: We’d skip ’em. She’s a feisty terrier with the turning radius of a refrigerator and absolutely no awareness of her own mass.
❤️ Cuddling: Elite. Once she burrows under her blankie, she achieves her final form: a 28-pound heated throw pillow.
Kee Kee is spayed, fully vetted, heartworm negative, and on flea + heartworm prevention. All she needs now is a person committed to ball throwing, reasonable portions, daily walks, blanket deployment, and helping her locate the waistline she misplaced sometime during a previous meal.
Her goal weight is around 20 lbs.
Her personal goal weight is 28 lbs plus whatever you’re eating.
