Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda appeared on the TODAY show to promote the re-release of their song, “Love Make the World Go Round,” but host, Hoda Kotb, had another topic surrounding love on her mind.
While asking questions surrounding the re-release, which is intended to honor and pay tribute to victims of the Pulse Nightclub tragedy, Kotb decided to take a swing at asking about J-Lo’s rekindled romance with ex, Ben Affleck.
Rumors of the power couple’s rekindled romance spread like wildfire after JLo called off her engagement to baseball star, Alex Rodriguez in April. The exes were reported to be spending time together in Montana and Los Angeles immediately following the split.
“You look happier,” Kotb said to Lopez, prompting a question regarding Affleck. “Look, I just have to tell you, every time I see a picture of you and Ben, I’m like, ‘She looks happier, she looks happier.’ Are we happier?”
Although a valiant effort by Kotb (bravo!), J-Lo took the question like a pro — a pro that has no intentions of publicly confirming her new-found romance.
“The song is out five years, five years since we’ve done it,” she replied. “And I believe that that message of loving one another and coming together and love is never more relevant than it is right now.”
Doesn’t sound like anyone will get the confirmation they want from Jen anytime soon, but in the meantime — actions are speaking louder than words.
Ben and Jen have given fans all the proof they need to confirm the comeback of “Bennifer” with some serious PDA. The couple was photographed at a restaurant in Malibu last month celebrating the 50th birthday of JLo’ sister, and sealed the rumors with a lustful lip-lock.
As mentioned, This isn’t the first go around for the couple who was previously engaged for two years in the early 2000s. After the split, Lopez went on to marry Marc Anthony, who she shares twins, Max and Emme with. Affleck married actress Jennifer Garner, who he shares three kids with.
