Nene Leakes is not holding back discussing her past with the Bravo TV network.
Speaking on Carlos King’s “Reality with the King” podcast, Leakes broke down why she left the popular Bravo franchise “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and her fallout with network personality and host Andy Cohen. This included a lawsuit wherein she sued the network and Cohen because of “unfair treatment.”
The suit was dropped in 2022.
Leakes told King she felt she was being phased out of the show’s 13th season as she was offered six episodes of the 21 episode run.
“I’m unhappy that I got six episodes. I mean, shouldn’t I get more than six episodes? Like, why is it a phase-out when there’s other girls who are not the same complexion as me and started as an original housewife?” she told the host.
Leakes questioned why her episode number was being cut when she hadn’t acted unlike any other Housewife.
“What did I do? Because I don’t know anything that I’ve done ever on this show that no other housewife in this franchise have not done. I’ve never done anything that no one else has done,” she said.
However, she did reveal she’s open to discussion about a return to the Bravo fold. She still has “respect for what they do.”
“I’ve always been open to working it out. I’ve always been open to having a conversation. They have never wanted to have a conversation or they’ve never wanted to move forward in any kind of way,” she said.
