We play and love both Christmas songs called "All I Want for Christmas Is You." One by Mariah Carey and the other by Vince Vance and the Valiants. And while we feel there is plenty of Christmas love to go around... not everyone feels the same. Especially Vince Vance it seems.

According to WWL Radio, in a case filed in New Orleans Federal Court, Vince Vance, whose real name is Andy Stone, is seeking $20-million dollars in damages from Carey, her co-writer, and Sony Music Entertainment.

While it's true that the Vince Vance version came out years prior to Mariah's (1989 vs 1994), the songs are completely different in melody and lyrics and appear to only share the titles.

We love Vince Vance, but I'm surprised you can sue over a song title. I guess we'll let their legal teams sort this one out. In the meantime, any excuse to hear these songs again. :)
