The trailer for Disney Channel’s Wizards Beyond Waverly Place has arrived, and the Russos are every bit as magical as we remember.

Reprising his role as Justin Russo from the original series, David Henrie will be joined by his sitcom sister Selena Gomez (Alex Russo), who will guest star solely in the first episode. The cast of the sequel series also includes Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, Taylor Cora as Winter, and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo.
Set years after the conclusion of the original Disney Channel TV series, Wizards of Waverly Place. “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo,” the official synopsis reads. “When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.”
In the trailer Henrie’s Justin returns to the Russo family lair to teach the young wizard, however training with the"stubborn" and “rebellious" Billie gets off to a rocky start, and of course, Disney Channel-type hi-jinx and nonsense ensues.
“You’re a powerful wizard. Some people see that as a threat,” Henrie says to Brown’s Billie in the trailer. “But I promise, I’m not gonna let anything happen to you.”
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premieres with two episodes on October 29 at 8PM ET on Disney Channel, wth the first nine episodes available on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand the next day.
