The first "Expendables" movie left Sylvester Stallone in rough shape.
During the second season premiere of the action star's Paramount+ reality TV series, "The Family Stallone," he was shown getting ready for a seventh back surgery as result of injuries from filming the 2010 movie.
The injury occurred when he was body-slammed by costar and wrestling legend Steve Austin during one of the movie's fight scenes.
“I did stupid stuff. I was directing 'Expendables' and, like an idiot, I’m doing take 10, take whatever, and I remember one slam and I could actually feel one bang,” Stallone said during the premiere.
"Steve knew," he added, later saying he "never recovered" from the injury.
"After that film, it was never physically the same," he said. "So I warn people, 'Don't do your own stunts.'"
During the "The Family Stallone" season premiere, Stallone's wife, Jennifer Flavin, said it's always a "scary time" when her husband goes into surgery.
The episode shows Stallone making a quick recovery after the operation.
"I hope this is the one to help him live a more comfortable life," Flavin said.
