When people are caught out, they take action. You and I have probably worked at plenty of unpleasant places and the remedy is usually finding another place to work.
It sounds like the remaining employees of The Ellen Show won't have to do that. In the season premiere Ellen addressed everything we've been reading about in Buzzfeed this summer and it sounds like she wants to turn over a new leaf. Or, maybe she just has to because the cat's out of the bag.
Reactions on the interwebs, as you can imagine, were not entirely positive.
