Give your 2020 holiday tree another life by recycling it. The city of Austin will have curbside collection available, and also drop off location days to turn your tree into mulch. If you don't have curbside collection, there are many drop-off location options where you can recycle it. Start the new year with sustainable community love for all who call ATX home.
Set out your tree by 6:30am on your composting / yard trimmings collection day.
- Trees over 6 ft should be cut in half.
- Trees with flocking (artificial snow) won't be accepted.
- Please remove all decorations.
- Don't place your tree in a plastic bag.
Drop off your tree at Zilker Park between 10am - 2pm these dates. If don't have curbside collection, and even if you're not a city of ATX customer. Remove all decorations and stands. Remember to have a mask to wear during drop off.

Get free mulch from the trees collected at Zilker Park. They will be turned into mulch that will be available for free. First-come, first serve starting January 14 at 9am. Bring your own tools and storage containters for loading & transporting the mulch. Please wear your mask. (date & time subject to change due to weather)
