*MALIN's exterior cladding from repurposed wood from the research test tank that was used at ARL:UT at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus of UT Austin.
*MALIN's feet created in Denmark from repurposed material.
*MALIN's hair created by Ashe juniper roots local and from Kinsbury Hillside. *MALIN's necklace from donated material
*MALIN's surrouding seating is from "Baby", a beloved pecan tree from the Govalle area that was donated when "Baby" died. "Baby" was brought back to life in GIANT TROLL form! "RIP Baby!" Take the Troll Treck in Pease Park, and meet MALIN!

Austin will have a GIANT soon! A Thomas Dambo Troll Installation has been approved to find a home in Pease Park! Austin's GIANT TROLL will be built with recycled wood sourced from Harvest Lumber, a sustainable sawmill dedicated to giving new life to Austin's fallen trees.

Thomas Dambo from Copenhagen, Denmark, a self-described 'Recycling Art Activist' is the creator of over 100 trolls worldwide. He creates public art sculptures from recycled and reused materials. The Dambo team is expected to arrive in late February to start building Austin's GIANT TROLL! It will be created with material mostly milled by Harvest Lumber from the water tower that resided at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus of University of Texas in Austin. The sustainable GIANT will bring a joyful connection between the Austin community and the environment.
