Nightclubs come and go, except for Numbers

Nightclubs come and go with the shift of the wind, but not Numbers in Houston, TX. The club, which opened in 1978, is still thriving today and Marcus Pontello felt so much passion around his experiences of being there, he was compelled to make a documentary about it called Friday I'm In Love.

This is the place where legendary bands came to play before anyone had heard of them out and where love and acceptance was the theme night after night. The documentary screens tonight at AFS Cinema, part of the Sound Unseen Film Festival and you can get tickets at soundunseen.com.

In my conversation with Marcus, he reveals what made Friday nights at Numbers so special, why it's stood the test of time, and how a fashion designer with no experience in film made a feature length documentary.
