This 8 month old pup loves to play and wrestle with other dogs and has become a go-to for playgroups at the shelter. She weighs about 45 pounds and should be almost fully grown. Like many dogs her age, Natalie has lots of energy to run and play, so she's looking for an active family to call her own. She already knows how to sit for a treat and loves to toss around her toys, if you like to hit the trails and parks of Austin she might just be the new friend you are looking for. Sassafrass is a cat that likes to take on the world at her own pace. Previously an outdoor kitty she's not super keen on lots of petting but she will come sit on your laps for treats and neck scratches. She's what some might call a Cactus Cat, a little prickly at first meeting, but our volunteers and staff have been working with Sassafrass to earn her trust and she's made incredible progress! She'll let you know when she's done with interacting and hop back into her kennel or bed. Sassy might just be the purr-fect nickname for this 1.5-year-old gal. She is fully litter box trained and might like another feline friend at home to help her settle in. Sassafrass is looking for a quiet home who would be happy with an independent cat, she can be visited with at the Austin Humane Society any day.
