The past few years, houseplants had become more of a staple in the homespace. Once the pandemic kicked in, they became even more popular. A hobby that turned into a craze on many social media platforms. Appearing in many Zoom meetings creating a hip greener feel.

The houseplant craze has gone worldwide. The next logical step is analyze Google search data for 230 houseplants that got the most love on Instagram to find out where the favs end up around the world. Because that's how to Go Green Roll! Here are a few discoveries.

The Monstera Deliciosa , also known as the Swiss Cheese Plant, a favorite in Europe, Asia and North America. It's the most popular houseplant in Canada, Costa Rica, and the United States. The giant plant is all over with leaves that resemble Swiss Cheese. The fruit is edible if ripe. Avoid the unripe, unless you like the taste of bleach. Doesn't taste a thing like Swiss Cheese. It gets HUGE LOVE on Instagram / social media. Monstera Deliciosa lovers are not afraid to show off, discuss and brag about their MDs !

The Blue Passionflower is another popular plant. It's found all over Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, and Venezuela. It's name is inspired by the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. It's dramatic tendrils cling to walls and make for a grand welcome at a front door.

Hedera helix is well known as Common or English Ivy. It's a great indoor plant that tolerates moderate light. It clears the air and has a variety of leaves that make it interesting to enjoy. It confines to just about any range of spaces and interiors. Plentiful in Europe especially in Bosnia, Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova and Montenegro.
