Hello – I'm Zillow! I'm a two-year-old pup who came to AHS as a Hurricane Ida evacuee. I am house-trained and well-behaved. I'm also really smart and know several commands, but I'd love it if you could teach me more! If you're looking for a polite pup to join your pack, I'm the girl for you. Stop by the shelter and meet me today!
Hi there – I'm Diego, a 6-year-old kitty looking for my forever home. I am still getting used to this whole shelter thing, so I can be a little nervous at first, but once I warm up to you, I'll stick by your side forever. My friends at the shelter describe me as "treat motivated", so a tuna snack might speed up the get-to-know you process! So what do you say: do you have room in your heart and your home for a special guy like me? If so, swing by the shelter and let's meet!
AHS is open to the public. No appointment necessary. Please maintain 6 feet distance during your visit inside. Masks are required for ALL, regardless of vaccination status. Adopters visit here. Virtual adoption appointments are still available.
AHS welcomed many dogs and cats to the shelter that were evacuated from shelters in Louisiana ahead of Hurricane Ida. You can support the efforts by adopting or by donating here.
