AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Winter precipitation is coming to an end across Central Texas, but a hard freeze is in store for the next two nights - as an unprecedented winter storm continues to keep its grip on the Austin area.
A HARD FREEZE WARNING is in effect from 9PM Thursday until 10AM Friday...
Lows in Austin are expected to fall into the teens overnight and refreeze any liquid on roads and exposed surfaces, creating potentially hazardous travel conditions late tonight into Friday morning.
Temperatures are expected to warm to near 40 by Friday afternoon, providing a chance for some of the moisture to melt away. The area will face another hard freeze Saturday morning, with temperatures expected to once again drop into the upper teens in the Austin area.
Saturday, temperatures are expected to reach into the lower 50s, with lows Sunday morning remaining above freezing in the upper 30s.
