The return will mark Noah’s third year as host, continuing his streak of being one of the few hosts to be asked back. He follows in the footsteps of LL Cool JJames Corden, and Alicia Keys.

“It’s about to be a three-peat,” Noah captioned a montage on his social media of various moments from his past memories as GRAMMY host.

Noah’s appearance as host will also reunite him with members of the Daily Show family after his recent departure following a 7-year-stint on Comedy Central.

“It’s almost like that moment in soccer,” he told The Hollywood Reporter of reuniting with his colleagues. “As a soccer player, you’ll play for your club and then you’ll play for the national team and there was always a moment where a player would retire from the national team. They’d say, ‘I’m no longer going to play at the international level, but I’ll still play for my club.’ And it’s always sad because they won’t be on the national team, but they’re still playing and they’re still playing with many of the players they know.”

The 2023 GRAMMYs will return to Los Angeles’ Arena on February 5.
