Hayley D’Auteuil will never forget this shift at the Grafton Grill & Crust.
Hayley is one of the hard-working waitresses that has had their world turned upside down during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She works at Grafton Grill & Crust, a loved establishment here in Grafton, Mass, and was working a shift in December that would soon leave her speechless.
A family of four came in to dine at the restaurant and when they received the check, they decided to participate in the '2020 Tip Challenge.'
Donnie Wahlberg went viral early in the pandemic for tipping a waitress $2,020 to make up for the dumpster fire of a year for servers.

A bunch of other people, celebrities included, have joined in on this viral challenge and seeing the server's faces is the best part.
Hayley said after she picked up the check and realized what the family had done, she immediately was in shock and ran over to her coworker to see if it was real.
“I had to run over to the chef and said ‘Are you seeing this? Am I hallucinating?'” D’Auteuil said. “We just stood there and stared at each other.”
Hayley shared that she will be donating a portion of the tip to the Why Me House in Worcester, a home away from home for families while their children undergo treatment for cancer.
