Representation matters.

Widline Pyrame from Brockton did not let a pandemic slow down her dreams and aspirations.

During the height of the pandemic, Widline decided to open a kiosk in the Westgate Mall in Brockton. This was not just your typical kiosk, however.

Widline explained to WBZ that while growing up in Haiti, she realized all the dolls she had were white. She shared that she wanted her hair to be straight because that's what she saw in her dolls as a young girl.

That lit a spark for Widline. She knew she wanted to create a line of dolls that represent all kinds of girls with all kinds of hair. That is when she founded Fusion Dolls.

Fusion Dolls has grown exponentially. They have sold over 2,000 dolls! Widline currently has two kiosks at the Westgate Mall, and plans to open a store.

Widline said her favorite part is watching the young girls come and get the dolls. She said a young girl came up to her and said, 'Thank you so much for creating a doll that looked like me,' and she gave me a hug. And honestly, that made my day."

I cannot wait to see Fusion Dolls continue to grow!
