The Dorchester community showed up to honor this late great neighborhood legend.
Jimmy Hayes' life ended too short. He passed away at the age of 31-years-old. Jimmy was a former BC Eagle and Boston Bruin.
After the funeral earlier this week, the procession followed the roads of Dorchester that were filled with neighbors, family members, and youth hockey players that looked up to Jimmy.
According to the Boston Herald, the kids had their hockey sticks held high in salute as the cars traveled through to Cedar Grove Cemetery to lay Jimmy to rest.
The world lost a good one, but his memory will live on forever.
