Five Brockton residents turned their friendship into the city's first craft brewery!
It all started 10 year ago when each of these families was brought together by their kids attending the same preschool.
According to WBZ, their bond grew strong over the years with the kids attending school and playing sports together.
They started this awesome tradition called, "Friday Night Game Night," and would all play games together after soccer games. The families even continued to do it virtually during the pandemic.
One night during their game night, the idea blossomed to create Brockton Beer Company - Brockton's first craft brewery.
According to WBZ, the friends are an example of Brockton's diverse community. Together, they represent Haitian, Puerto Rican, Filipino, French-Canadian, Jamaican, Trinidadian, and Mexican culture.
Each of the co-founders share a similar sentiment that it was essential to them to give back to the community that they each love and care for so much.
The Brockton Beer Company's mission is about encompassing and celebrating the diversity in the city, and also bringing something new and exciting to the community.
