Katie is starting this year in a new district! She will be working in a sub separate classroom for students with autism! In her kindergarten class, they will work together on social skills, academics, behavior management, communication, and anything else their little minds find exciting (Do you know about dwarf planets? Alyssa Peterson is a 2nd grade teacher in Ashland, MA. This will be her fourth year of teaching and she's so excited to meet her 23 new little besties in just a few weeks! She has wanted to be a teacher since she was 7 years old, when she met her 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. LaPlaca. She remembers being so nervous to start 2nd grade because it would be her 3rd new school since kindergarten. Mrs. LaPlaca made her feel so welcomed and included, and knew that's how she'd want her students to feel one day.
