This morning we heard from Lauren who is a 3-5 grade special education teacher in Woburn. She primarily works with students who need more intense and direct reading instruction.
Her goal is to create a classroom library full of books that her students are interested in reading, in order to foster a love for reading. They are big fans of graphic novels because even if the words are hard, the pictures help to understand what is going on! Graphic novels are also age-appropriate, and popular with other students, so they can feel confident when reading in front of other students. Clear her list HERE!
