Martha Staten is an inspiration to all.
According to WBZ, Martha suffered a brain injury back in 2014. She fainted in a hotel bathroom and ended up fracturing her temporal bone, blowing out her ear, tearing the line of her brain, and 17 stitches in the back of her head.
The doctors told Martha that she may never run again. But, as an 8-time Boston Marathon runner, she was determined to make her way back on to the course.
Martha went from using a walker after her injury to training for her 9th Boston Marathon. No big deal.
67-years-old and a true inspiration to us all. Run fast, Martha!
