At Lollapalooza 2023 for his Thursday evening set, Noah Kahan stopped by backstage to chat with Audacy’s Julia and Bru, to discuss what he’s been up to, share some stories, and answer some obscure questions.
LISTEN NOW: Noah Kahan at Lollapalooza 2023
Last time Noah chatted with Julia he was nervously gearing up for the deluxe edition release of his album. Since then with the help of that “Stick Season bag,” Noah has admittedly attempted to update his wardrobe, despite believing he can “make the nicest clothes in the world look like ratty and disgusting.”
Which representationally would completely vibe with his clothing line idea, of having “really nice high end designer clothes that just have like disgusting ketchup stains all on it," which he trendily would name Stain’d. Other affinities Kahan has developed since finding success include an influx in Uber Eats orders, and splurging at gas station convenience stores.
Also up for discussion, his various given nicknames like Folk Malone and Hairy Styles (courtesy of Bru). Noah revealed he’s all for them, especially since the first one manifested into a Post Malone collab that he says “changed his life.”
After that the trio got to talking about stage diapers, farting on stage, and Noah told a story about how “I shat myself in Charlottesville,” (and no that’s not a Johnny Cash song). Finally wrapping up with some obscure fan-asked questions.
