“That’s my boy,” The Kid Laroi says about Justin Bieber, who just released his sixth studio album, Justice. Track six on that album, titled “Unstable,” actually features Laroi. “That’s somebody I’ve looked up to since I can remember, so it’s just super crazy when he reached out,” he says. “I’m blessed to be able to call him my friend.”

The rapper, singer, and songwriter admits that he struggles with mental health, which is true through this whole life. “I think it’s important for me to talk about that stuff and the stuff that I go through in my music.” He reveals that “growing up, I felt super alone… but then I started discovering music that was explaining the s*** I was going through.”

“It’s important to me to talk about that and make sure, you know, the next kid out there doesn’t feel alone and feels inspired to go out and do something great.”

When it comes to finding the motivation, his whole life he says he’s had people telling him that he “couldn’t do stuff and that it wasn’t going to work, but I always believed.” He credits his success to his mother, who always told him “anything you want to do, you can do. F*** everybody.”
