Vanessa later commemorated the date with photos of her family, which she referred to as the “grad squad,” sitting outside on the school field waiting for Natalia to to walk across the stage.
Another clip showed the moment Natalia's name was called as she received her diploma. "Congratulations Natalia! We will ALL be with you every step of the way," Vanessa wrote.
She also shared a quote from her late husband Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash in January 2020 alongside the couple's 13-year-old daughter Gianna, which read, "Everything negative — pressure, challenges — is all an opportunity for me to rise."
The caption further expressed the entire family's joy as Vanessa commented, "Daddy, Mommy, Gigi, Bianka and Capri are so proud of you."
In May, Bryant and Natalia appeared in a short promotional film for Bulgari and Vogue titled “A Mother’s Legacy” which "shares an intimate glance into their special relationship, revealing how they inspire, motivate and empower one another," reported the fashion publication.
In the video, Natalia says, "People may not remember what you did or may not remember what you said, but they will remember how you made them feel."
She continued to tell her mother, “That's the lesson that I've carried throughout my life. You're the strongest person I've ever known."
She added, "We connect on a whole different level, and I feel like that's rare in mother-daughter relationships.”
