When Allen Iverson delivered his legendary rant about practice, the Hall of Fame point guard was rocking a Red Sox lid.

So it only makes sense that Iverson replicated the outfit at Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game.

Iverson was sitting court side for the affair, and his headwear made quite the statement. Years from now, it’s probably the first thing anyone will notice when they look at one of the more indelible images from the game: Iverson sitting next to Dr. Julius Erving with Joel Embiid standing in the foreground.

Three Philadelphia sports legends, and one beautiful Red Sox hat.

Iverson and the Red Sox remain intertwined 20 years following his practice riff. Back in 2016, Rebook released a special “practice” sneaker in honor of Iverson’s presser, complete with red baseball stitching.

And yeah, Iverson has also wore Yankees hats on occasion, including when the 76ers retired his number. But so what?

He made the right choice Sunday on the biggest stage.
