With the Patriots’ season coming to an end Saturday night in Buffalo with a blowout loss to the Bills, some members of the organization will likely shift their focus to interviewing with other teams.

Inside linebackers coach Jerod Mayo reportedly has been requested by the Broncos to interview for their head-coaching position and is also a name mentioned with the Texans. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels’ name has come up over the last several years when it comes to head-coaching vacancies, and once again that’s the case this year.

And it isn’t just the coaching staff, either.

Front office member Eliot Wolf has reportedly been requested by the Bears and Vikings to interview for their respective general manager jobs.

Speaking Sunday morning, Bill Belichick isn’t surprised by any this.

“I don’t think it’s really my place to comment on other team’s jobs, or who they are looking for, or what they are doing or whatever. I’ll leave that to them,” he said. “Whatever it is, obviously we’ll comply with and however those situations turn out, again, that’s generally speaking, out of our control. We’ll see what happens. If something happens then we’ll adjust to it and react to it.

“We have a lot of good coaches. It’s not surprising that other teams would be interested in talking to them, or other staff members — the same thing with the scouting staff. We basically have that every single year. How that goes and what will happen, again, I don’t know. That’s not my decision to make. Certainly, if there’s an opportunity for somebody that’s at a high level that we can’t provide here, I understand they would have to consider that. We’ll see what happens on that.”

The Patriots have lost a number of coaches — Brian Flores, Joe Judge, etc. — in recent offseasons, as well as front office members, including Nick Caserio and Monti Ossenfort.
