The Bruins and Islanders face off in Game 1 of their second-round series at 8 p.m. Saturday night in a nearly full TD Garden, and it doesn’t appear there will be any surprises in terms of lineups.
Each team had one real injury question going into Saturday, but it appears those situations have been settled.
Bruins defenseman Jeremy Lauzon, who missed the last four games of the opening round with a hand injury, was on the ice for morning skate Saturday and lined up next to Connor Clifton on the third pairing, and coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed afterwards that Lauzon is in for Game 1.
Fellow defenseman Kevan Miller had already been ruled out after suffering an upper-body injury in Game 4 of the first round when Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov hit him up high. Miller has been in the Bruins’ facility this week, but has not yet been cleared to start skating.
For the Islanders, coach Barry Trotz said Friday that right wing Oliver Wahlstrom was “doubtful” for Game 1 after suffering a leg injury in Game 5 against Pittsburgh, and he confirmed on Saturday that his lineup will be similar to Game 6, when Travis Zajac replaced Wahlstrom.
Tuukka Rask and Ilya Sorokin are expected to be the starting goalies for Game 1. Here are the full expected lineups for each team:
