The Patriots will once again be without their All-Pro cornerback when they face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
"Gonzo will be out," Head coach Mike Vrabel said Friday afternoon.
The update was unfortunate but unsurprising: Gonzalez had not been spotted during portions of practice open to media all week. He continues to deal with a hamstring injury he first sustained on July 28th.
Gonzalez, 23, earned AP Second-Team All-Pro honors in 2024. He played in all 17 games of the season last year, but missed the majority of the season before due to injury.
Expect the Patriots' secondary to have their hands full with receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, although the Miami offense only managed eight points against the Colts in Week 1.
