The trade that many were expecting is reportedly done, with multiple reports indicating that James Harden is heading to Philadelphia, while Ben Simmons makes his way to Brooklyn.
The full reported trade, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, has Harden and Paul Millsap heading to the 76ers, while Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two first-round picks will come back to the Nets in exchange for Harden, who was presented as the third leg of the superstar tripod in Brooklyn, one that crumbled due to injuries, Kyrie Irving's refusal to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, and Harden's eventual displeasure with the state of the team.
So, with the trade much anticipated, NBA Twitter was quick to fire away at Harden once news broke that he was part of a second blockbuster trade in the past year:
james harden gave the nets a year and dipped 🤣
