Patriots Practice Report: High energy Thursday as Pats look to 'shuffle' out of funk

6 rings: 3 matchups to watch in Patriots vs. Raiders in Las Vegas on Sunday

As we walked up the stairs to Patriots practice on Thursday, the 'Cupid Shuffle' blasted through the outside speakers as players stretched (and danced) ahead of their session.

Some will say it's corny -- others will love it. My take? If it brings up the energy of a team that's 1-4 and needs a good ol' kick in the you-know-what, then I'm all for it. I guess that's one way to start over.

Anyway, to the good stuff. Here’s who was (and wasn't) at practice on Thursday in Foxborough:

Attendance:

Absent: LB Matthew Judon, WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR Demario Douglas
PUP: S Cody Davis, DE Trey Flowers
IR: WR Tyquan Thornton, CB Jack Jones, CB Marcus Jones, DL Daniel Ekuale, CB Christian Gonzalez

Other Notes:

- JuJu Smith-Schuster and Demario Douglas both remain absent as they recover from concussions sustained last weekend against the Saints.

- Ezekiel Elliott donned red sleeves under his white practice jersey. A potential ode to teammate Matthew Judon who is recovering from biceps surgery.

- According to Matt Lombardo of FanBuzz, there's an expectation that Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy will be traded before the deadline. New England reportedly had interest in trading for Jeudy this offseason, so this could be one to monitor.
