The Patriots are bringing back a familiar face on the offensive line, signing Ted Karras to a one-year, $4 million deal, according to The Athletic's Jeff Howe.

Karras, who just turned 28, spent four seasons in New England from 2016-19 and started 15 games at center in 2019 in place of the injured David Andrews.

Coincidentally, Karras will likely once again be replacing Andrews, as Andrews is now on the open market himself, electing to go to free agency and explore his options after weighing the Patriots' offer.

Karras started 16 games last season for the Dolphins, who could now turn around and go get Andrews, as they are reportedly one of the teams that has shown interest.

The Patriots have already seen quite a bit of turnover on their offensive line this offseason, trading for tackle Trent Brown and now signing Karras while trading away tackle Marcus Cannon, losing Joe Thuney to the Chiefs in free agency, and now likely losing Andrews as well.
