As if there wasn’t already enough discussion surrounding the future of the quarterback position in New England.
On Wednesday, one of the quarterbacks projected to go in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft was hosted by the Patriots, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. That QB was Will Levis of Kentucky.

Rapoport also added in his report that New England hosted Levis as “part of their due diligence to prepare for any scenario” in the draft, indicating he’s not likely part of their future plans.
With the Patriots set to pick at No. 14, there’s absolutely a chance Levis could be available when it’s their time to make a pick. After being projected as a top-five pick early, it appears the Kentucky product is more likely to go just outside of the top 10.
But, if Levis is still available at No. 14, Bill Belichick could very well do what he does and trade down.
