Is everything alright with Bill Belichick?
We know there’s no longer any good situational football to be found at Gillette Stadium. But could the coach at least get a towel?
On “The Greg Hill Show” Monday, Belichick was asked about his concerning wounds. “I’ll be alright,” he said, before lapsing into his trademark awkward silence.
This is the second time in three weeks a member of the Belichick clan has gone viral for their looks on the sideline. Two weeks ago, Steve Belichick’s active tongue captured viewers’ imaginations. It was back for an encore performance Sunday, though most of the ancillary attention was rightfully placed on his father.
The image of a wounded Bill Belichick standing on the sidelines watching his team give away another game at home was right on the nose — pardon the pun.
With an 0-4 record at Gillette Stadium, the Patriots are battered and beaten as they head into the middle stretch of the season. Unfortunately, they may not be able to recover as quickly as Belichick’s face. Time heals all wounds, except bad football teams. That usually takes an entire offseason to correct.
