Busch Gardens was home to a wooden coaster, 2 actually, called Gwazi which closed over 5 years ago.
For years, the wooden structure sat while new steel coasters like Cheetah Hunt, SheiKra, and Tigris were constructed.
Now however, that wooden structure was reused for a new hybrid steel/wooden roller coaster called Iron Gwazi.
This record breaking coaster will take guests over 200 feet into the air before dropping them at speeds of over 70mph with twists, turns, overbanked hills, and plenty of air-time, this coaster is sure to become Florida's top rated roller coaster.
Coaster enthusiasts have been waiting anxiously for this ride to open and it seems that we're getting closer and closer as testing of the ride has begun.
An opening date hasn't been officially announced, however all promotional material states "opening 2020."
