The CMA nominations came out yesterday and Miranda Lambert leads the pack with seven. The really impressive part is that she now has a total of 55 CMA nominations in her career and that's a record for a female. Coming in at 2nd is Reba McEntire with 51.
Following Miranda's lead is Luke Combs who has six nominations. The incredibly talented Maren Morris has five and DAN + SHAY has four, along with Carly Pearce.
Justin Bieber picked up three nominations, thanks to his monster hit with DAN + SHAY. Their song "10,000 Hours" is up for Single of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.
Miranda is also up for Entertainer of the Year and that's big news too, because so is Carrie Underwood. It's been 41 years since two solo female acts were up for that award. Crystal Gayle and Barbara Mandrell were both nominated in 1979.
Eric Church, Luke Combs and Keith Urban are also up for Entertainer of the Year. Keith is the only one of the five nominees to ever win it and he's done it twice. Last year's winner was Garth Brooks and he didn't get nominated because remember earlier this year he permanently removed himself from consideration.)
"The 54th Annual CMA Awards" will air November 11th on ABC. No word yet where it will be held or who will host or if it's going to have a live audience. You can see all the nominations from The Country Daily here.
