Orange County Residents Can Get One-Time Rent Assistance

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings released a statement yesterday annoucing rent assistance for Orange County residents. It's a one-time payment assistance and only for Orange County residents who have been furloughed during the outbreak.

According to News 6, this does not apply to those not working, but still getting paid.

There is an Orange County Helpline that has been established that you can call if you need more information or have any questions. It's open Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. The hotline number is 407-836-6500. You can also get more information at the Orange County Government website.

Keep in mind, you must make an appointment to receieve this assistance and have the proper paperwork. So, click on their site or call the helpline to get things started and to make sure you qualify.
