In case you haven't been on I-4 lately, I can assure you that people are back to driving again. What's even worse, is they're back to driving poorly again. I know, shocker, right?
A new study from Smart Asset ranked all 50 states from the best drivers to the worst drivers based on three factors:
- Percentage of people with insurance
- DUI arrests per capita
- Car fatalaties per capita
Based on that criteria, the state with the best drivers is Massachusetts. However, anyone who's driven in Boston will strongly disagree. The rest of the top 10 states with the best drivers are:
Utah
Nebraska
Vermont
Maine
New York
Connecticut
Ohio
Kansas
New Hampshire.
Well, I didn't see Florida in that top 10, which means we must be at the opposite end of the list. The state with the worst drivers is Mississippi. The rest of the 10 worst states are:
Nevada
Tennessee
Florida
California
Arizona
South Carolina
Texas
New Mexico
Alaska
