Italian food might be one of your favorites at the dinner table, but you might not be eating it like a true Italian would. According to The Sun, a recent poll looked at the top mistakes we make when we eat Italian food and here are the top 5:
1. Eating garlic bread with pasta or as an appetizer is apparently a mistake. THey say it's more of a franchise Italian restaurant kind of thing, not really an Italian thing. (I really don't care what kind of thing it is, bring me those breadsticks!)
2. Ordering stuffed-crust pizza they say is a perfect example of why American pizza isn't seen as real pizza in Italy. Plus, I never knew this, but apparently more than three toppings is a no-no.
3. Adding extra parmesan cheese after your food has been served isn't something you should do. If you did it in Italy, it might be seen as an insult to the chef.
4. Overcooking your pasta, don't do it! It's supposed to be served a little al dente.
5. Cutting your spaghetti up into pieces is apparently a no-no too. You're supposed to leave the noodles nice and long and you're not supposed to break them in half when you boil them either.
