Everyone knows you can get arrested for driving a car while drunk. However, what about driving a remote control car while drunk? Well, this is a whole new type of DUI, drone under the influence.
A man in Japan was arrested for flying a drone while under the influence, which actually is illegal in Japan, as well as several other areas, including New Jersey.
It happened a few weeks back. He's a 56-year-old man and he drank eight beers between 7:00 A.M. and noon. Someone decided to get up early and cease the day, LOL!
The morning drinking must have had a wild effect on him, because he decided to clean his place. In the process, he found a drone that he hadn't flown in a while.
He got it out, took it for a spin and immediately crashed it into a neighbor's window. Luckily, it sounds like no one was hurt and when the police came, the man admitted to drinking and droning.
It's unclear how he might be punished. The law hasn't been on the books long and supposedly he's the first guy to be busted for it. But offenders could face a fine up to around $2,700. You can read more about it from Sora News 24 and Tell Report below.
