If you could go to the Moon, would you? According to a survey from YouGov, nearly half of us would turn it down! Is it because you're afraid? What if you were guaranteed a safe return, would you still refuse to go?
Even with the guarantee of a safe return, 42% of us would still turn it down, while about 50% would go.
The people who said they weren't interested were asked why and the most popular response was, "I don't want to go to the moon." Well, how are you going to argue with that?
Others turned it down because:
The moon would be boring. OK, I have no interest in going for several of the reasons below, but I highly doubt it would be boring!
Other reasons were they're scared, have a fear of flying or heights, claustrophobia, there's "no point" and some just couldn't get past the unrealistic safety guarantee.
